I have more than 38 years of international experience with the multinational company 3M, where I performed various sales, marketing and managerial functions. I have been active in various markets and businesses, with responsibility for P&L; operational and strategic business development. I have led numerous successful transformations and growth projects, including complex mergers, change management processes and product innovations. My leadership style is customer-centric, with focus on team resilience and inclusiveness.

  • As local and regional leader of the Health care business, I reshaped the team from a product focus to a market focus.  Working closely with HR partner.  Thanks to a small acquisition of surgical procedure trays/kits, the local business grew more than double digit.

  • I managed several Black Belt Six Sigma projects, with internal and external focus, including a project to improve sales efficiency for a division of Omega Pharma (reduce the admin time and increase number of customer visits). And was caoching and mentoring Green Belts.

  • I was leading integration of 3 divisions into 1 for the West Europe area , which laid the foundation for increased sales efficiency, marketing focus and profitable growth

  • For Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as PMO I led the integration of 'Scott Safety', with improved sales and margin immediately after the first year of acquisition, supporting the harmonization of the portfolio and streamlined teams: Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance and Legal. 

  • In my last position as sales director for PPE in the Central Europe region, I reformed the team to a clearly defined structure between general sales accounts, key accounts and channel/distribution accounts.  My last major project that I supported as champion, was the divestiture of medical disposable respirators to a distribution partner, after 3M Health Care became Solventum.
